Aidan is doing much better these days. (I should have posted something by now, I know everyone was concerned). Within about 3 days, he was eating again. And within 5 days or so, he was playing like his old self again. Thank God he is doing better.

    Thanks for all your prayers.

Izabella has learned to crawl. She's a late crawler, actually. She just hasn't been interested much in it. (I spoil her, she is usually on my hip). She's doing great at crawling and now I have to watch out. She can CATCH me! Way to Grow, baby Girl!

We took Aidan to Children's Hospital tonight. He was in such bad shape. All 3 kids got a virus and have been suffering for a week now. But Aidan has taken a turn for the worse. Suddenly he can't even suck a breath of air in.

I watched him breathing and his abdomen, ribs and neck was fighting and pulling so hard. He also had a high fever. I immediately paged our Pediatrician. Our Ped. called back and referred us to Children's immediately.

We got to Children's Hospital and Aidan was completely lifeless. He didn't even mind the poking, prodding and X-Rays. He was too weak to resist. The X-Rays show that Aidan has Pneumonia.

I can't believe it. This hit so hard and so fast. I have never seen anything like it. Oh wait a minute... yes I have. This is exactly what I went thru when I was 14 years old. Talk about deja vu.

The famous Dr. Farroll (Chief of Staff for Children's Hospital) was Aidan's Dr. He was awesome. He sent us home with a VERY strong dose of antibiotics. He also instructed us that if Aidan gets ANY worse, to drive him back to Children's immediately. I know Aidan's prescription was strong, because I had to wait almost 1 hour for the pharmacy to call the Dr. to confirm the extremely high dose.

We got home around 7:30 pm. Aidan got a breathing treatment and Slawek went to bed with him. Evan and Izabella were in bed with me. Sometime during the night, Evan flipped off the bed, cracked his head on our nighstand and fell to the floor. I think that was around 3 am.

At 4 am, Slawek came in and asked me to get up to listen to Aidan. I did. It was VERY scary. he was a thousand times worse and absolutely was straining with all his might to get air into his lungs. Off we went to Children's Hospital again. Thanks Aunt Melissa for coming over and staying with Evan and Izabella. In the meantime, my parents were driving home from the Lake as fast as they could.

We got Aidan to Children's. They listened to him and informed us that he had a collapsed lung (partial). The part of his lung that has the pneumonia had collapsed. I guess this is common with pneumonia. They kept us for a while, and Aidan got better just from taking deep breaths. When you sleep, you take very shallow breaths, which can cause lung collapse with pneumonia.

We are home again. We are hoping and praying that the worst is behind us and that Aidan doesn't wake up gasping for air in the middle of the night tonight.

    Keep Aidan in your prayers.
