Bella's 9 Month Stats (Ped visit):
    Weight: 17 lbs. 9 oz (25th percentile)
    Height: 27" (28th percentile)
    HC: 18.0" (89th percentile)

She is smaller than BOTH our preemie boys at 9 months! Evan weighed 17 lbs. 15 o; Aidan weighed 18 lbs. 15 oz. Her percentiles in weight keep dropping (slightly, but still dropping). Her history:

    Weight:
    1 week = 49th percentile
    1 month = 67th percentile
    2 months = 57th percentile
    4 months = 40th percentile
    6 months = 43rd percentile
    9 months = 25th percentile

I asked the Ped. about that. I am still nursing her (yeahhhh for meeting my breastfeeding milestones!), and I worry that she isn't gettnig enough from me. Dr. Hein said he wasn't too concerned with it. She's height & weight proportionate (her height percentiles always seem to coincide with her weight percentiles). An she's getting more active, which means burning more calories. Oh, and she consistently seems to have a big head.

She must have a high metabolism (taking after Slawek's female/petite side of the family). Or maybe she is going to be small. She is a HUGE eater. I tell you, she doesn't miss any meals and eats straight off my plate these days. She eats pasta & butter that I fix for her, peas, corn, chicken, mac n' cheese, whole blueberries. She is eating the same stuff the boys are eating plus some. We deserve a good eater this time, I swear. Our boys have ALWAYS been (and continue to be) a big challenge when it comes to eating. I hope Bella stays this easy (as far as eating goes) for a long, long while.

    Oh, and NO SHOTS! !

HAPPY 9 MONTHS OLD IZIU (ee-Zshoo)

You have no idea how much happiness & joy you have brought into our lives baby girl. You make us all smile, including your brothers. You are absolutely beautiful and have the cutest little personality.

We hate going to bed each night because we know that tomorrow, you'll be just a bit bigger.

I want to wrap you up and keep you this age for many years, but I know I can't. You are so precious to us. We love you.

I love you my precious baby girl.

    Mommy

I am having a really tough time with Izabella as far as separation anxiety goes. She absolutey goes HYSTERICAL if I try to hand her off to anyone else. I mean anyone. She does adjust after I leave her with mom (after I'm gone). But while I am there, she throws herself back and cries hysterically. It makes it so hard on me. I feel guilty enough leaving her, even though I know my mom is the best. It's still just so hard. She's going thru a really bad phase right now with that. Actually, she has been going through this all along, but her crying just keeps getting worse. And now she's *smart*. She knows when someone is approaching me to take her away, and she just loses it. I hope she gets over this soon.

Our Ped. said it was healthy and normal, especially for a breastfed baby, to have such a strong attachment to his/her mommy. And he also told me she will probably outgrow it by about age 2 1/2. 2 1/2?!!?!?!?!? EEK!

Evan is so hilarious. The other day, my mom was asking him to make all his animal noises. So the story goes like this:

Mom said, "Evan, what sound does a COW make?"
    Evan said, "MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

Mom said, "Evan, what sound does a HORSE make?"
    Evan said, "NAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

Mom said, "Evan, what sound does a SHEEP make?"
    Evan said, "BAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

Mom said, "Evan what sound does a DUCK make?"
    Evan said, "QUACK QUACK"

Mom said, "Evan, what sound does a DOG make?"
    Evan said, "Arf, Arf, Arf!"

Mom said, "Evan, what sound does a KITTY make?"
    Evan said, "MeeeeeeeeOwwwwwwwwwwwww"

Finally, mom said, "Evan, what sound does a CHICKEN make?"
Evan first looked side to side, thinking, and said, "MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, Good! Chicken!"

He is totally hilarious. He knows that a chicken goes "bak bak bak" - but just realized that we eat Chicken, too, I guess. So funny.

Evan & Aidan are so sick. (I feel like I'm repeating myself every weeken these days). For the past 24 hours, both Evan and Aidan have puke so many times that we have lost count. :( Aidan puke in the kitchen several times, on the carpet, on our couch, on his own face while in bed lying on his back. Evan puked in the kitchen, in the high chair. Puke absolutely everywhere. They also have the worst Diarrhea. They are so dehydrate ~ unable to keep any liquids down.

They haven't thrown up for 1 hour, and after several baths, we have put them to be. If either of them throws up one more time, I am paging the Pediatrician.

I feel so bad for them. Bless their hearts.

Today we had a huge 3-family yardsale. Melissa, my mom and I had a great turnout, but it was very stressful seeing Slawek was taking care of our puking boys and I had Bella on my hip the entire day. It's been such an exhausting few days.

Izabella is so sick. Around 8 pm last night, I took her temperature and it was 102.3 degrees. I immediately gave her some motrin and we went to bed. I had a nightmare that I was being haunted and woke up. It was 1 am. I reached over and felt Izabella. She was burning up. I took her temperature and it read 104.5 degrees. I panicked. This is the highest fever that any of our 3 kids has ever had. I paged Dr. Hein and immediately started getting dressed. I was anticipating an Emergency Room visit. I also called Mom, and she was on her way over.

Dr. Hein called and said it is normal for children to have such high fevers. He also instructed me to give her more Motrin. I had given her 1.275 ml of Motrin 5 hours prior. He instructed me to give her 1.875 ml of Motrin immediately. I did and her fever broke.

Poor lil princess poo poo. Hopefully it's just a 24 hour virus.
