Today is an emotional day for me. It was exactly today, 3 years ago when I woke up - so excited to have made it to 31 weeks in my pregnancy; only to go into full blown labor about 4 hours later. I arrived at the hospital today, on mom's birthday in 2004, and was 5 cm. dilated. After laboring all day and all night, trying to stop the contractions with magnesium sulfate (again, as I was on this for weeks when I was hospitalized from week 25-28 gestation) - it did not work. And our beautiful boys were born 9 weeks early.
I can't believe 3 years have passed. It seems unreal. I still vividly remember the entire labor and delivery. I remember the moment Evan's water broke and the panic that set in with us and our Dr/Nurse team. I remember seeing my teeny tiny boys in their isolettes and not being able to hold them for days. The best day of my life was also the scariest day in my life. Thank goodness through everyone's prayers and God's good hand, our boys are happy and healthy today.
I still can't believe they are going to be 3 tomorrow. Where does the time go?
Oh, and Happy Birthday Mom! The boys weren't born on your birthday, but what a memory I have of your birthday in 2004! :) Love you!Comments:Add a comment:

Today we took Evan and Aidan to see the Wiggles concert. It was FABULOUS! We had THIRD ROW SEATS!!!!!!!!!!! The boys loved it. They were dancing in the aisle. Aidan really liked Anthony, he stood under his feet for the longest time. It was such a meaningful night for all of us. I can't tell you how many times I got all choked up just watching their little faces light up. Such a special evening for Slawek and I. Something we won't forget.
Slawek, Happy Name Day, sweetie. Wszystkiego najlepszego z okazji imienin, Slawus. Kocham cie.Comments:Add a comment:
