Well, today is the day - my 1st Day back to work. I cried a LOT this weekend. Saturday night I had Izabella in our bed and I just held her, kissed her head and apologized to her over and over for leaving her. I feel so bad that I am leaving her, she is only 10 weeks old. To top it all off, she refuses to take a bottle. She had taken a few oz. over the past few weeks, so I didn't think this would be a problem (and to be honest, I enjoy breastfeeding, so I didn't want to stop nursing her either). She wouldn't take a bottle of expressed breastmilk all weekend. I found a website online that gives a lot of helpful hints for breastfed babies who refuse a bottle, and my mom is using those tricks today while working with her. So far, no go. Mom is feeding her breastmilk with a dropper.
Please say a prayer for us that the transition of me going back to work isn't traumatic for Izabella, and also that she starts sucking a bottle soon. (It is traumatic for me, but I will deal with it and adjust, I miss her so). It was easier with the boys, as I didn't go back until they were almost 8 months old! I miss my Princess. I am so heartsick.Comments:Add a comment:

We all just got back from Gatlinburg (me, Slawek, Evan, Aidan, Izabella, Grandma & Grandpa Campbell). Last week I decided we needed to get away before I went back to work (to keep my mind off things), so we reserved a 2-bedroom condo (thanks to my Aunt Donna's info) and off we went. We had a fabulous time, really. The weather was absolutely beautiful - the sun was shining and it was between 60-70 degrees all weekend for the high temps. The leaves were gorgeous and the view out our condo window was gorgeous.
Saturday night me and Slawek went downtown to Gatlinburg and my parents took all 3 kids back to the condo with them. Mom wanted to work on bottle feedings (which are not going well) with Bella and also let the boys play. They seemed to LOVE the condo most of all ~ running around, exploring all the new things. They got to take a fabulous bubble bath in our Jacuzzi, too. I'll get the photos added soon, I promise.
We're home! Daddy and Grandpa said "no more shopping!"Comments:Add a comment:

Happy 8 weeks Old, EllaBelle. I can't believe you are 8 weeks old already. Time is flying by, and you are getting so big. You weigh 11 1/2 lbs. this morning. I love spending every waking moment with you and breastfeeding is going very well. I will remember these days being at home with you and your brothers as the happiest days of my life. You are mommy's Princess.

We have so many cute nicknames for Izabella. I wanted to jot them down so I don't forget years down the road.
Izabella's nicknames:
Bella, EllaBelle, BellaRoo (I used to call Evan "Roo"), Bella Dancerella, Princess, Pretty, Princess, Beauty, Chunky Monkey, Lil Nut Brown Hare (from the book "I love you this much"), Missy (I think because I call the boys "Mister" a lot), Chipmunk, Stinker & Sweet Cheeks.

I just returned from my 6 week post partum appointment with my Perinatologist, Dr. Brady. I am actually a little sad, in a way. Today's appointment *completes* my pregnancy and post partum treatment. A chapter in my life is ending. Don't get me wrong, I am cherishing my little Bellaroo every single moment. But, the special bond a mother and baby has during pregnancy is something I will always miss. As this chapter in my life ends, new ones begin...

Izabella's Christening will be Sunday, November 5, 2006 at 10 am. I confirmed everything with Father Pennington, order the invitations and also ordered her gorgeous christening gown! We are very excited, especially since this is always Slawek's name day!

Today Father Pennington "blessed" Izabella in front of our church congregation. It was very touching and Izabella looks so sweet and peaceful. I had a feeling Father Pennington would be doing this soon, so I dressed her in her beautiful silk blue dress with ivory silk flowers. She looked like a doll!
