Aidan is walking like a Pro! I can't believe it. He just let go and took off walking like he has always known how to walk! He's doing GREAT.
Evan is also walking all over the place. He is fearless and follows Aidan wherever he goes!
I'm so proud of my little boys. Our Pediatrician told us not to expect them to walk until 15 months old and even longer possibly since they were preemies. 13 months old, they are so healthy!Comments:Add a comment:

2nd beta results = 288!! (14DPO). Everything looks good - my results have more than doubled in 48 hours (doubling time 31.5 hours). Hang on little one, we can't wait to see you!

Happy 13 months old boys!!!
Aidan is walking! He has been a real pro at walking with the assistance of push-walker toys, but never had the courage to take his own independent steps - until TONIGHT! After watching Evan walk from here to there, he finally let go and walked from Daddy to Dziadek. He is doing great and you can tell will be walking all over in just a matter of a few days.
Evan is fearless. He isn't as coordinated as Aidan, but he has the courage to take those steps and fall frequently. He's doing great with his walking, and has definitely shown his younger brother Aidan how it's done.
We are doing great and enjoying this last week of 2005. We can't wait to see what SURPRISES 2006 brings for us!Comments:Add a comment:

Dr. Brady ordered a serial quantitative hCG blood test (2 pregnancy blood tests 48 hours apart). I had my 1st one today!) My beta was 101 at 12 DPO (which is DOUBLE what it should be for 12 DPO according to www.betabase.info)
I'm officially pregnant!
Estimated Due Date 9/8/06!
My 1st OB appt. and Level 2 Ultrasound with Dr. Brady is scheduled for 1/31/06 (I will be 8 weeks pregnant).Comments:Add a comment:

I'M PREGNANT! It's 11 DPO and I got my 1st positive test from a home pregnancy test today!
I’ll continue testing for the next while to see how dark the line gets. I honestly suspected something was up, as I felt bloated, my bbs are extremely sore, and I have been SOOOOOOOOOO unbelievably crampy. I actually told Slawek last night "I think I’m pregnant, but if I’m not, I’m making an appt. b/c I’m way too crampy during my luteal phase, plus I spotted at 6 DPO." He told me, "If you are pregnant, it’s not by me!" LOL, I am, and of course it’s by him. Who would have guessed a natural pregnancy for us? Please little bean, stick with us....Comments:Add a comment:

Merry Christmas!!!!!!
Evan and Aidan had a wonderful Christmas this year ~ their first one at home. We enjoyed this Christmas much more than last year, as well (all our time was spent in the NICU).
The boys received tons of gifts (more than should legally be allowed). I think they are even a little confused, as they are going from toy to toy to toy.
Santa brought them a new Train Table (with train track and garage town). Mostly they like to walk around it and tear it apart. Santa also brought them a wooden activity cube, which they seem to really enjoy. Other gifts Santa brought: Leap Frog Shopping Cart, Crockodile Piano, Tiger Xyliphone, Books, Leap Frog My Little Touch electronic books, Mr. Potato Head set, Flashlights, Little People Circus Set, Little People Nativity Set, and many, many clothes.
They also received TONS of gifts from both sets of Grandparents, Great Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and Great Aunts and Uncles. I can't believe all the toys and clothes we now have for them. I honestly don't think there is anything left at Toys R Us that we don't own!
All in all, we had a very nice Christmas. What made this an extra special Christmas is that we were all together as a family, with the exception of Aunt Magda. We wish she could have been here with us. We are very thankful to have such wonderful families.
Slawek and I received the best Christmas presents of all.... healthy 1 year old twin boys. We are forever grateful.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a Good night!Comments:Add a comment:

We have WALKING going on!!! Evan took his 1st steps completely unassisted last night!
Yeahhh!! Grandma has been practicing with him and when I got home, I stood him at the edge of our sofa and said, "Come on Evan, Come here!" And he takes 3 steps and jumps into my arms, smiling ear-to-ear. He did it over and over and over.
It's the sweetest thing ever. Our missing is to get it on our DVD camcorder now!
Aidan is a master at crawling around, so when we attempt the same thing with him, he just falls to his bum and crawls on over. It's too cute!Comments:Add a comment:

12 Month Stats:
Aidan
22 lbs. 5 oz (50th percentile)
30" long (75th percentile)
18 3/4" head circumference (75-90th percentile)
Evan
20 lbs. 2 oz (20th percentile)
29 1/2" long (40th percentile)
18 1/2" head circumference (50-75th percentile)
2 shots: The boys had their last prevnar immunization and the chicken pox vaccine. The MMR vaccination is delayed until 15-18 months (the requirement is for babies to get it by 18 mo., and my Ped. doesn't give MMRs until 15 month well-baby appt). Fine by me, less shots today! Poor things.
Dr. Parks said both boys are exactly where they should be for being 12 months old. It has always been expected that Evan and Aidan would be behind by 2 months (since they were born 9 weeks premature), but they aren't! This means they are actually AHEAD according to their actual due date and act just like a full term 40-week baby does. I knew they were doing great.
They are both JUST about to take their 1st steps. Any day now, really. They walk around furniture and with push toys (and Evan stands independently). Now they just have to muster up the courage to take those steps. They'll do it soon, and we'll be chasing them down even more than we already are when they crawl!
Everything is great, Dr. Parks couldn't be happier with their progress.
Oh - and unfortunately we have to take them both to Children's Hospital for a Lead screening (which is a blood draw, not a finger stick). I am NOT looking forward to that experience. Apparently we live in an area that has high Lead cases reported annually. I hope and pray Evan and Aidan don't show high lead levels.Comments:Add a comment:
